Close up of pillow textures and patterns. From intricate soft blue patterns, to blockish blue, red, and yellows.

Private residence in Southwark, London.

This apartment was inspired by our clients love of mid-century furniture and sci-fi. The apartment is also fully wheelchair accessible, to support his lifestyle requirements.

Accessible Design Features

We designed this apartment to give our client as much independence as possible.

This included:

  • Voice automated lights and window dressings: our client has limited dexterity in his hands, so voice automated controls were much easier for him to use.

  • A smooth floor, so that it feels gentle when our client rolls over the parquet in his wheelchair.

  • Acoustic barriers, such as the heavy wool curtains acting as room dividers, which gave our client privacy from his support team.

Direct view of the coffee table and zig zag patterned wood floor. Three wall sconces that look like folded paper squares light up the wall. The corner of the sectional shows with a soft throw blanket.
